HOPKINS, Edna Boies
Edna Boies Hopkins (1872–1937) was an American printmaker and painter celebrated for her bold, stylized woodblock prints. Trained at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and later influenced by Japanese print techniques, Hopkins created works that emphasize flowing line, dynamic composition, and a harmonious interplay of form and color. Her prints often depict plants, animals, and the natural world with both decorative elegance and modernist sensibility.
