The bluish black ink in this special proof lends a cool, nocturnal atmosphere to the print, normally printed in black ink. Tudor City was completed in 1928 as a middle-class housing project and became a historic district in 1988. The location is 40th to 43rd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues.
