Lotz-Brissonneau 253, first state of two. Woodcut on wove paper. Edition of 15 proofs in first state, published by Sagot, Paris (blindstamp, Lugt 2254). Based on a poem by J.M. de Hérédia. Second state was published in L'Oeuvre et l'Image. Signed, titled and annotated "1er et. tir. 15 ep." and "no. 4" in pencil, with Lepère stamp in block (Lugt 141). 8 1/4 x 6 inches; 210 x 152mm.
Provenance: F.E. Bliss (Lugt 265).
